World Cancer Day is an avenue to create awareness on the disease and the significance of regular medical examinations for early detection of cancer. Cancer can strike at any moment and does not distinguish between children, the elderly or physically fit men or women. For example, cervical cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer death among women in their 20s and 30s in America, which is 100% preventable with early screening and the HPV vaccine . Thus, it is imperative we take physical examinations annually to reduce the chances of getting sick.
