FDA-approved
The Medtronic MiniMed 770G System is the first FDA cleared, hybrid closed-loop system that monitors glucose and automatically adjusts the delivery of long-acting or basal insulin based on the user’s glucose reading in users two years and above. The advanced MiniMed 770G System integrates the SmartGuard ™ algorithm for comprehensive high and low treatment. It is the very first insulin pump that automatically adjusts for the basal insulin demand and at meals with the real-time glucose readings obtained by the Guardian Sensor 3 CGM. It features an instinctive touchscreen user interface, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity to integrate the device with mobile apps, and multiple and flexible infusion choices. The MiniMed 770G allows for a complete solution toward effective diabetes management, offering improved convenience and confidence through an advanced integrated system of alerts and alarms, long battery life, and real-time monitoring.
This basal insulin delivery is called Auto Basal. Auto Mode has a target of 120 mg/dL. You can temporarily change the target to 150 mg/dL for exercise, or at other times you want the target increased. You are still expected to enter carbs when you eat, and blood glucose (BG) values to calibrate the sensor.
It connects to your MiniMed 770G pump using Bluetooth technology. The ACCU-CHEK guide link blood glucose meter is the only meter approved for use with the MiniMed 770G system.
Your pump is Waterproof at the time of manufacture and when correctly inserted reservoir and tubing. It is protected against the effects of being submerged to a depth of up to 3.6 meters (12 feet) for up to 24 hours.
Press Select on the time segment. You only have one Carb Ratio, press Select. If you have more than one Carb Ratio, press Up or Down to enter the time that your first Carb Ratio ends and the second begins and then press Select. You want to enter the g/U of your Carb Ratio, press Up or Down to enter it and then press Select.
Medtronic Diabetes has several infusion sets from which to choose, depending on your needs. This device can be combined with your sensor for continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Connects with a glucose sensor. This device collects data from the sensor measurement and wirelessly transmits this data to the pump.
